About わたしたちについて

小樽と共に歩んできた

元々、船の帆として使われた帆布。化学製品が無い時代、一番丈夫な布としてトラックの幌や、貨物列車のシート、テントなど生活の中のありとあらゆる所に帆布を使った製品が溢れていた。しかし化学繊維の台頭など時代ともに減少していった帆布製品…そんな中で、帆布の良さを改めて伝えるべく材料・パーツ全てをデザインし直し、徹底して拘ったプロダクトを作製しました。新たな『形』で帆布を伝えていくプロダクトであり、それを手にとる人々は帆布の新たな魅力に触れる事になるでしょう。新しいけど、どこか懐かしい・・・佐々木縫製所の精神がここにあります。

裁断
商品の基本形態となる裁断。佐々木縫製所は、使いやすさを考慮した特徴的なデザインの商品や、一風変わった商品を多く手がけているため、裁断ひとつをとっても機械で行うことが難しく、一反の大きな生地から1つの商品に到るまでの断つ作業は、全て職人が手作業でおこなっています。
Cutting — where every product begins. At Sasaki Sewing Workshop, many of our designs are unique, created with everyday use in mind. That’s why every piece is carefully cut by hand, directly from large rolls of fabric. From the first cut to the finished product, each piece is shaped with care and attention to detail. It’s a simple, hands-on process — but one that makes each product truly our own. Careful, from start to finish — that’s the Sasaki Sewing Workshop way.

縫製
裁断された生地に高温のアイロンで折り目をつけた後、縫製をおこなっていきます。お客様の使いやすさと商品の丈夫さを考慮し、生地の厚さによって糸の太さを使い分け、糸を切断する際には熱処理を施し、糸のすり抜けやほつれを防止するなど、縫製ひとつをとっても細やかな気配りを重ねています。
Care in every thread. Every fabric deserves the right thread. We carefully choose the thread thickness to balance durability and ease of use. Even the smallest details matter. When we cut the thread, we heat-seal the ends to help prevent fraying and unraveling. Every stitch, every finish, is handled with care. Because we believe that the things we use every day deserve to be made with care. Matching the thread to the fabric — that's the Sasaki Sewing Workshop way.

オリジナルの刻印が入った金具と、それぞれの生地パーツを組み合わせ、商品を仕上げていきます。すべてが手作業だからこそ、機械のような均一さとは少し違う、わずかな個性が生まれる——それも、手仕事ならではの魅力です。熟練の技による細かな調整で、一つひとつを丁寧に仕上げていく。今も昔も変わらない、それが佐々木縫製所です。
Finishing — where each piece comes together. Metal fittings stamped with our original mark are carefully attached to each fabric piece, bringing the product together. Because every piece is finished by hand, no two are exactly alike. Each one has its own subtle character — a small difference that makes handmade work special. With skilled hands and careful adjustments, every piece is finished with precision and care. The care we put into every piece has remained unchanged since the beginning — that's the Sasaki Sewing Workshop way.
